This small button is the Test / Silence button. 

Pressed once and the Prima Super Panel displays the following message:

Pressing the button tests the sensitivity and operation of the detector's wireless transmission signal.  The test duration lasts 5 minutes before returning to the normal operating state.

Press the button again places the unit in 'Silence' mode, rendering the unit inoperative.
